NEWS ARTICLE:(Excerpt From 1938 Edition-Made Up)
My Times
Today cries of joy can be heard as families crowded around televisions waiting for the news on whether or not Congress would pass the Fair Labors Standards Act of 1938, were awarded with good news-Congress has finally decided to pass the law. The Act improves working conditions and wages for workers, especially young children. In the past, children often had to work long and dangerous hours at factories, mills, and the fields for little pay since they were so young. They were forced to drop out of school at a young age and even sometime never attend school just so they can work the long hours earning money to help support their families. The Act passed age, weight, and height requirements to protect children and prevent as much child labor. Hopefully, from now on we will see a brighter future for our working young children and adults.
